ALEXA CHUNG , a chick i thought, who have the style. very iconic look. she doesn't seem to work so hard putting pretty garments on her and she works very well in vintage. somehow, less is more. don't over accessorize. i hope she is not loosing anymore weight. otherwise, she look like an anorexia victim. she doesn't seem to have thousand of clothes in her closet. i see repetition of her pieces, seem ordinary, and she plays a lot with layering her garments. yet, its unique.hence, we don't necessarily spend thousands to get what we so call " style " . its the matter on how we pair up 10 pieces garments into 30 styles. creativity involved, thus we need to know our body well enough, what fit and how do we look in it. no one wants to be named fashion slave for trying too hard.
you can google ' alexa chung ' for more of her fashion style library. i love her style, minimalism and vintage chic.
another fashion icon i would like to recommend. i read the article in regard of Tavi from nytimes.com
TAVI GEVINSON, 13 yrs old. started blogging at 11yrs old [ http://www.thestylerookie.com/ ] . she is outstanding, intelligent and a thrift market regular shopper [ so am i. i doesn't mean i am outstanding and intelligent ( till someone tell me if i am ), i meant, i do, most shopping at of bargain store, such as flea market, bundle store, outlet store ]first impression , she looks sluggish, well she has style of her own. i would thought she is just an attention seeker. after browsing through her post in her blog, i have second thought. she probably have something. for some reason , she is recognised by the public, reknown designer and media. I salute her for being able to get so much publicity and became a regular guest at fashion shows.
i learnt , being yourself isn't bad if you are on the right path.
